Türkiye’s coast guards have rescued 134 irregular migrants pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greece and caught 69 making an attempt to cross illegally.

The Turkish Coast Guard Command stated on Monday the rescue operations have been carried out off the Turkish coasts of Mugla and Izmir within the Aegean Sea.

In Mugla’s Bodrum district, Turkish coast guards captured 32 international nationals making an attempt to cross illegally in rubber boats and rescued 16 irregular migrants who have been pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek models.

Five irregular migrants in a rubber boat who have been pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek officers have been additionally rescued within the Datca district of Mugla.

Meanwhile, 113 irregular migrants who have been illegally pushed again into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities have been rescued and 37 have been captured off western Izmir province.

All of the migrants have been taken to provincial migration workplaces.
