Türkiye closed the Çanakkale Strait to ships early Monday as a consequence of heavy fog, authorities mentioned.
The Çanakkale Strait Ship Traffic Services Directorate mentioned in an announcement that two-way ship visitors had been suspended by means of the strait as of 5.30 a.m. native time (0230GMT).
Captains of ships getting into from the north and south had been warned that the strait has been closed to two-way transit.
The fog, which had intensified within the morning, precipitated a lower in visibility for sea journey.
