Türkiye’s Çanakkale Strait resumes maritime traffic

Türkiye’s Çanakkale Strait resumes maritime traffic

The Çanakkale Strait resumed maritime site visitors from the Aegean Sea to the Marmara Sea (south-north) as of 11:00 a.m. after it was suspended as a result of ongoing forest fireplace within the northwestern province of Canakkale, the Transport Ministry and a delivery company mentioned Thursday.

As the blaze engulfed the realm, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya took to social media, asserting the deployment of two,659 personnel from varied businesses, together with the Ministry of National Defense, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the General Directorate of Forestry, police, gendarmerie, municipalities and particular administrations.

Additionally, a formidable fleet of assets, together with eight plane, 26 helicopters, 240 water tanks and 71 water tankers, together with 328 different autos, have been mobilized to the area. A complete response plan was executed, resulting in the evacuation of 337 households and 1,251 residents from 11 villages within the affected space.
