Türkiye’s largest warship TCG Anadolu rendered a 21-gun salute in honor of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan because it sailed by means of the Bosphorus Strait on Sunday on its solution to the Black Sea.
The vessel, which is the world’s first unmanned fight aerial car (UCAV) service, departed the port of Sarayburnu in Istanbul and sailed previous the Dolmabahce Palace.
President Erdogan and first girl Emine Erdogan, accompanied by kids from Türkiye’s southern quake-hit areas, had been out on the palace deck to see off the TCG Anadolu.
National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and prime Turkish navy commanders had been aboard the TCG Anadolu, which was escorted by Turkish Air Force helicopters because it handed by means of the strait.
Built in Istanbul-based shipyard Sedef, the ship, named TCG Anadolu, can carry helicopters, drones, land autos, gentle warcraft, and personnel.
Turkish UCAVs Bayraktar TB3 and Kizilelma drones, and light-weight assault plane Hurjet, can land on and take off from the ship.
TCG Anadolu will carry 4 mechanised, two touchdown craft air-cushion (LCAC), and two personnel touchdown autos (LCVP), in addition to plane, helicopters, and unmanned aerial autos.
With a size of 231 metres (some 758 ft) and a width of 32 metres (105 ft), the total load displacement equals some 27,000 tonnes.
