Türkiye’s Maarif Foundation aims to contribute to Somalia’s education

Türkiye’s Maarif Foundation (TMV) goals to contribute to college students’ growth whereas defending their language, tradition and heritage, the president of the group mentioned at an iftar dinner organized in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.

The iftar was organized on the campus of the TMV faculty in Mogadishu. TMV President Dr. Birol Akgün, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Mogadishu Alper Aktaş, TMV trustee board member Dr. Nevzat Şimşek, representatives of Turkish non-governmental organizations, Somalian officers, dad and mom and different friends attended the iftar.

Noting that TMV has colleges in 52 nations the world over, Akgün mentioned Maarif colleges present a modernized schooling system whereas preserving their roots.

“We open these schools in Africa to find solutions to Africa’s problems together and we invest in the future of friendly countries like Somalia together,” Akgün mentioned.

For his half, Ambassador Aktaş mentioned TMV goals to the touch the hearts of Somalian individuals by varied initiatives, together with charitable works.

In Somalia, Maarif colleges present schooling to hundreds of scholars within the cities of Hargeisa and Mogadishu on three campuses.
