Erdogan expressed hope that Christmas shall be “instrumental in the development of the climate of solidarity.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has prolonged Christmas greetings to Christians in Türkiye and internationally.
In a message, Erdogan mentioned he congratulates the entire Christian world, particularly Turkish Christian residents, and desires them nicely on Saturday.
“In line with the values of the civilization to which we belong, we consider the existence of different religions and cultures as a richness,” Erdogan mentioned.
“This understanding, which is the basis of the peace and security, unity and solidarity of our nation, is our most important power that will enable us to live together peacefully in the future.”
He expressed hope that Christmas shall be “instrumental in the development of the climate of solidarity.”
For Christians, Christmas marks the delivery of Jesus Christ.
One of probably the most vital celebrations in Christian tradition, Christmas Eve is noticed by most non-Orthodox Christians on December 24 yearly.
