A lady was killed early on Monday when Russian forces shelled the southern Ukrainian metropolis of Kherson, regional officers mentioned.
“A difficult night for Kherson … The Russian army continued to shell Kherson residents’ homes in the central part of the city,” governor Oleksandr Prokudin mentioned on the Telegram messaging app.
Prokudin mentioned the shelling began round midnight and lasted for a number of hours.
Reuters couldn’t independently confirm the small print of the report.
Ukraine recaptured Kherson metropolis and elements of the Kherson area in November after months of Russian occupation, however Russian forces often shell the town and surrounding areas from throughout the Dnipro River.
This month a physician was killed and a nurse was wounded in Russian shelling of a Kherson hospital.
