Biden on Friday to visit Mississippi town devastated by tornado

U.S. President Joe Biden and first woman Jill Biden will go to Rolling Fork, Mississippi, on Friday after the city was devastated by a twister final week that killed 26 individuals, the White House stated.

The Bidens will meet with first responders, state and native officers and folks impacted by the latest storms, and survey restoration efforts, the White House stated in a press release.

The highly effective twister ripped by means of the city of 1,900 on Friday evening, destroying most of the group’s 400 properties.

On Saturday, Biden ordered federal help to complement state, tribal and native restoration efforts within the affected areas.
