China mentioned on Monday that U.S. excessive altitude balloons had flown over its airspace with out permission greater than 10 instances because the starting of January 2022.

Chinese international ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin, responding to a query at an everyday media briefing in Beijing, didn’t present additional particulars.

Asked how China had responded to the flights, Wang mentioned China’s response to such incidents is accountable {and professional}.

China’s assertion comes after the United States earlier this month shot down what it says was a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina. Beijing says the balloon was a civilian analysis craft and accused Washington of overreacting.
