EU Sends Rescue Teams To Turkey | TR Daily News

Janez Lenarcic, member of the European Union (EU) Commission accountable for disaster administration and humanitarian assist, made a press release on the topic on social media.

According to AA, Lenarcic introduced that the search and rescue groups despatched to Turkey after the earthquake had been on their method.

Lenarcic introduced that after the earthquake, the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, during which Turkey was one of many contributors, was activated.

Stating that the EU Emergency Response Coordination Center coordinates the dispatch of rescue groups from throughout Europe, Lenarcic mentioned, “Search and rescue teams from the Netherlands and Romania are currently on their way.”

An earthquake of seven.4 magnitude was recorded at 04:17 within the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş. There are experiences that the buildings collapsed and there was lack of life and property as a result of earthquake, which was felt strongly within the surrounding provinces.
