Members of the far-right Reichsburger (Reich Citizens) motion, who have been arrested in December 2022 in Germany for allegedly planning a coup, reportedly aimed to detain the chancellor and Cabinet ministers throughout a parliamentary session.
According to authorities sources cited by Bild newspaper on Sunday, the coup suspects have been aiming to stay telecast their act.
Followers of the Reichsburger motion reject the legitimacy of the Federal Republic of Germany and imagine that the nation is ruled by members of a so-called “deep state.”
Many refuse to pay taxes and they’re typically in battle with authorities.
Germany‘s home intelligence company BfV estimates that the motion has round 23,000 followers.
