The official automobile of Türkiye’s ambassador to Sudan was hit by gunfire on Saturday, as preventing continues between the military and a paramilitary group within the capital Khartoum and its environment.
No casualties have been reported and the supply of the gunfire that hit Ambassador Ismail Çobanoğlu’s automobile was unclear, mentioned Turkish diplomatic sources, talking on situation of anonymity as they weren’t licensed to talk to the media.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu mentioned Türkiye would relocate its Sudan embassy from Khartoum to Port Sudan after the gun assault.
“With recommendation from the transitional government and Sudan army, we decided to move our embassy temporarily to Port Sudan for security reasons,” Çavuşoğlu instructed reporters within the southern metropolis of Antalya.
Fighting between two rival generals – military chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Mohammed Hamdan “Hemedti” Dagalo – broke out on April 15, leaving greater than 550 individuals useless and 1000’s injured to this point.
