Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday thanked Saudi Arabia for hospitality in direction of Israeli passengers after their airplane made an emergency touchdown within the kingdom.
A airplane touring from Seychelles to Israel was compelled to land in Jeddah late Monday resulting from technical difficulties. Some 130 Israelis have been aboard the airplane they usually have been housed in a single day in a lodge within the airport complicated.
A substitute airplane was despatched from Dubai to gather the Israeli passengers who arrived in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
“I greatly appreciate the warm attitude of the Saudi authorities to the Israeli passengers whose flight was in distress and was compelled to make an emergency landing in Jeddah,” Netanyahu mentioned in an announcement.
“I greatly appreciate the good neighborliness,” he added, in reference to the Saudi’s therapy of the Israeli passengers.
Last 12 months, Saudi authorities allowed Israeli flights to fly over the dominion’s airspace.
Saudi Arabia doesn’t have diplomatic relations with Israel and opposes normalization with Tel Aviv till ending the decades-long Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
