Russian leaders have seized on a report of alleged US involvement within the Nord Stream pipeline explosion, making critical accusations in opposition to US President Joe Biden.

“Biden is writing himself into history as a terrorist,” Russian parliamentary chief Vyacheslav Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

He was reacting to a report by veteran US journalist Seymour Hersh by which he claimed that US Navy divers have been liable for the gasoline pipeline explosions within the Baltic Sea. The White House has already denied the report.

The Russian management is itself suspected of being behind the explosions that severely broken the pipelines main from Russia to Germany on the finish of September. Moscow, in flip, has argued from the start that the pipelines have been sabotaged by the United States.

Russia had already shut down Nord Stream 1 on the time of the explosions, due to alleged technical issues. According to the investigations, the detonations have been brought on by sabotage, although there isn’t a clear proof of who was accountable.
