A German coach with 32 passengers on board crashed in Austria late on Saturday night.

According to the police, a 31-year-old passenger was killed and several other others had been injured, together with the 51-year-old bus driver.

The bus from the Passau space crashed over an embankment close to Schladming within the area of Styria, about 100 kilometres south-east of town of Salzburg, overturned a number of instances and landed on the roof of an organization constructing constructed on the slope, the police stated.

The group within the bus had been on their approach again after a tobogganing tour, stated a spokesman for the police in Styria.

Rumours {that a} group of mates was travelling on the bus on a stag occasion couldn’t be confirmed by the spokesman from the Styria police. The accident occurred on the return journey.

The reason for the accident was nonetheless being investigated.

“The coach was secured on the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office in Leoben and will be examined by experts,” the police reported.

More than 160 firefighters, rescue employees and police had been on the scene, in response to the police.
