Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev accused the United States on Monday of planning cyberattacks in opposition to Russia’s “critical information infrastructure”, state media reported on Monday.

Patrushev was quoted as saying that the U.S. Cyber Command, National Security Agency (NSA) and NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence primarily based in Estonia had been planning and directing the assaults “under the Ukrainian flag”.

Reuters couldn’t instantly confirm Patrushev’s allegations, which had been revealed by the federal government’s Rossiiskaya Gazeta newspaper.
