After days of Russian kamikaze drone assaults on Ukrainian cities, air defences on the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula engaged Ukrainian drones on Monday night, Russian state news company TASS reported.
Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial autos had been shot down over the naval port of Sevastopol, TASS stated.
“Our air defences continued to repel the attacks,” Moscow-appointed governor Mikhail Razvozhayev was quoted as saying.
Sevastopol is the principle base for the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The port has been the goal of Ukrainian drone assaults a number of occasions, most lately on December 30.
In October, the Ukrainian army used drone boats loaded with explosives to assault the Russian fleet close to Sevastopol.
There is contradictory data from the 2 warring sides about their effectiveness.
