Russia arrests man for sending cryptocurrency to Ukraine

Russia‘s Federal Security Service (FSB) stated on Wednesday that it had detained a resident of the far japanese Khabarovsk area for treason for making an attempt to ship cash to the Ukrainian navy, state news company TASS reported.

TASS quoted the FSB as saying that the detainee had tried to ship cash to Ukraine for drones, thermal imaging cameras, munitions and medical provides “by way of cryptocurrency instruments”.

RIA, one other state news company, revealed FSB footage of a person being detained by two officers on a rustic highway, and a subsequent search of his home.

TASS individually reported that the FSB had arrested a gaggle of “saboteurs” within the Russian-controlled Ukrainian metropolis of Melitopol who have been making ready an assassination try towards officers.

It didn’t say how many individuals had been detained, or who their alleged targets have been.
