The Russian aspect, specifically the management of the Russian Peacekeeping Contingent, continues to take constant steps to resolve this case, spokeswoman Maria Zakharova mentioned in a written assertion revealed on the ministry’s web site.

Zakharova criticized “provocations” towards Russian peacekeepers, saying Moscow considers assaults towards them as “unacceptable and deliberate actions that cause tangible harm to the process of Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization.”

“We name on Baku and Yerevan to strictly adjust to all of the provisions of the Statement of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia dated November 9, 2020.

“We note that the Lachin corridor should be used only for the purposes indicated in this document. We hope that the parties will come to agreements concerning the development of ore deposits in the region,” she confused.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have seen this month a brand new escalation over the Lachin hall, with Yerevan, accusing Baku of blocking the passage.

Azerbaijani non-governmental organizations on the Lachin hall have been protesting the “illegal exploitation of natural resources” and different unlawful actions by Armenia, however they haven’t “closed” or blocked the hall, in line with Azerbaijan.
