The Kremlin rejected Armenia‘s claims about “being forced” to affix a union state of Russia and Belarus, calling them “provocative.”
“Such statements can be considered provocative. They do not correspond to reality. None of the Russian officials said this and did not bring it to the Armenian side through anyone,” spokesperson Dmitry Peskov advised Armenian news company News.am.
On Dec. 26, Armen Grigoryan, secretary of the Armenian Security Council, mentioned Yerevan is “being forced” to affix the union state of Russia and Belarus – a supranational construction comprising Russia and Belarus, created with the aim of deepening integration within the economic system, and that Moscow workouts stress on Armenia within the dispute over the Lachin hall.
Armenia hosts a serious Russian navy base close to the western metropolis of Gyumri close to the border with Türkiye.
