A deputy chief of the town’s division for mobilisation work, who additionally commanded a Black Sea Fleet submarine, has been killed within the southern Russian metropolis of Krasnodar, TASS news company reported on Monday, citing legislation enforcement our bodies.
It stated Stanislav Rzhitsky was killed by a gunman. A felony case into the killing has been opened, the news company added.
According to TASS, Rzhitsky commanded the Krasnodar submarine, named after the town, within the Russian Navy. It is unclear whether or not he was the present captain of the submarine on the time of his killing.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Krasnodar is a diesel-electric submarine constructed for the Black Sea fleet and designed “to fight surface ships and submarines, lay mines, and conduct reconnaissance”.
