Satellite photos of a army base southeast of the Belarus capital Minsk seem to point out dismantling of tents in latest weeks, which can point out the winding down of the bottom for Wagner, the Russian mercenary firm behind an abortive mutiny.
On Aug. 23, Wagner’s boss Yevgeny Prigozhin and his prime lieutenants have been killed when a non-public jet he used crashed in so-far unexplained circumstances, leaving the destiny of his mercenaries doubtful.
Images of the Tsel army base in Mogilev area, taken on July 25, Aug. 25 and Sept. 9 and offered by Earth imaging firm Planet Labs, seem to point out the gradual dismantling of tents within the camp.
Reuters couldn’t confirm the character of the adjustments within the camp.
In June, the Wagner group launched a short mutiny in opposition to the military prime brass in Russia, condemned as treason by President Vladimir Putin.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko invited Wagner to arrange operations in his nation as a part of a deal that ended the mutiny.
