Several senior Ukrainian officers introduced their resignation Tuesday because the defence ministry was shaken by a meals procurement scandal and the presidency warned of mounting anti-graft measures.
Deputy defence minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov, who was accountable for the military’s logistical help, and the deputy head of the presidential workplace Kyrylo Tymoshenko have been among the many officers who stepped down.
