Shooting in New Zealand leaves 2 people dead

At least two individuals have been killed and several other others injured Thursday after a person opened hearth at a development web site in Auckland, New Zealand.

”Multiple accidents have been reported, and at this stage, we are able to affirm two individuals have died,” the New Zealand Police mentioned on Twitter.

”The male offender can be deceased.”

Police launched an investigation into the incident and urged the general public to steer clear of the realm.

Local media reported that at the very least six individuals have been injured, together with a police officer.

The incident comes forward of the primary match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup scheduled for Thursday between New Zealand and Norway.

New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins instructed a press convention that the capturing ”seems to be the actions of a person” and never a ”nationwide safety risk.”
