Spate of Quran burnings forces Denmark to tighten border control

After a spate of controversial Quran-burning protests, Denmark is tightening border controls to spice up home safety and stop undesirable people from coming into the nation, the federal government mentioned Friday.

The choice comes after an identical Sweden adopted an identical transfer earlier within the week.

Authorities feared for violent response to Islamophobic activists in Denmark and Sweden burned and broken a number of copies of the Muslim holy e book in current months, inciting outrage within the Muslim world and calls for that governments ban such acts.

Denmark’s tighter border controls will initially be in place till Aug. 10.

“The recent Quran burnings have, as the security police have said, affected the current security situation,” Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard mentioned.

The choice to tighten border controls with extra checks of vacationers arriving in Denmark follows an identical transfer by Sweden.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen late Thursday mentioned non secular texts shouldn’t be burned.

“I think it would be wrong if someone stood there and burned the Bible. I also don’t think we should burn the Torah for the sake of those who belong to the Jewish faith,” Frederiksen instructed public broadcaster DR.

Muslims view the Quran because the literal phrase of God and desecration of the holy e book sparks protests within the Muslim world.
