Switzerland condemned a Russian strike Wednesday that killed a minimum of 16 individuals within the jap Donetsk area.

“Switzerland strongly condemns the brutal attack which caused numerous dead and injured in Kostiantynivka,” the Foreign Ministry wrote on X.

It informed Moscow that worldwide humanitarian legislation prohibits assaults towards civilians and stated: “Switzerland once again calls on Russia to immediately end its military aggression against Ukraine.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced the assault in an announcement on Telegram.

“At this moment, the artillery of Russian terrorists has killed 16 people in the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. A regular market. Shops. A pharmacy. People who did nothing wrong. Many wounded.”

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated individually that a minimum of 28 individuals have been injured within the strike.

The ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, which began in February 2022, has killed greater than 9,500 civilians and wounded over 17,200, in keeping with UN figures.
