Ukraine’s Zelenskyy rejects drone attack against Russia’s Putin

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected Russia’s claims that Kyiv tried to hold out a drone assault in opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, after Moscow mentioned two drones had been shot down on the president’s residence on Wednesday.

“We didn’t attack Putin. We leave it to the tribunal. We fight on our territory, we are defending our villages and cities,” Zelenskyy instructed reporters at a joint news convention with Nordic leaders in Helsinki.

Russia mentioned Wednesday it had shot down two drones aimed toward President Vladimir Putin’s Kremlin residence in what it known as a Ukrainian “terrorist” assassination try.

Kyiv mentioned it had “nothing to do” with the alleged assault, suggesting it was “staged” by Moscow, whereas the US mentioned the report needs to be taken with a “shaker of salt”.

Russia introduced the incident after a collection of main sabotage assaults within the run-up to celebrations for the nation’s most essential vacation on May 9, marking the Soviet victory over the Nazis.
