US alarmed after video shows Israel shooting Palestinian in back of head

The US mentioned Wednesday it’s “alarmed” after video appeared to point out Israeli forces taking pictures a Palestinian at the back of his head throughout a raid within the occupied West Bank.

“We are alarmed by reports of an Israeli shooting an unarmed Palestinian civilian from behind as the latter was walking away from an Israeli position,” a State Department spokesperson informed Anadolu on situation of anonymity.

“The United States urges a rapid completion of an objective, thorough investigation into the incident, which we understand is ongoing, and calls for full accountability in this case,” the spokesperson added.

The taking pictures occurred Monday throughout an Israeli raid within the city of Beita, south of the town of Nablus, as Israel sought to apprehend a suspect who fatally shot a son and father Saturday in neighboring Huwara.

The 34-year-old Palestinian sufferer, recognized by Anadolu as Amid al-Jaghoun, seems to be shot at the back of his head as he’s speeding to help one other Palestinian who was injured by Israeli fireplace, in keeping with video footage of the incident that circulated on social media.

The sufferer doesn’t seem like armed and is seen operating in the other way of Israeli forces when he’s shot.

Al-Jaghoun was transported to a neighborhood hospital the place he underwent therapy for his wounds, and was transferred to an intensive care unit.

The Israeli navy mentioned it’s investigating.
