The US Defense Department introduced a $600 million safety help package deal for Ukraine on Thursday.

The package deal, a part of Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, contains tools to reinforce Ukraine’s air protection, artillery, munitions, and different capabilities, stated Pentagon Deputy spokeswoman Sabrina Singh at a press briefing.

Unlike the presidential drawdown authority, which permits the Pentagon to ship tools to Ukraine from its shares at a historic tempo, the safety initiative allows the US to acquire capabilities from business or companions.

According to a Pentagon assertion, the capabilities within the announcement embrace tools to maintain and combine Ukraine’s air protection methods, extra ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 105mm artillery rounds, and digital warfare and counter-electronic warfare tools.

Additionally, the package deal contains demolition munitions for obstacle-clearing, mine-clearing tools, and assist and tools for coaching, upkeep, and sustainment actions.

“The United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with capabilities to meet its immediate battlefield needs and longer-term security assistance requirements,” stated the assertion.
