Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has welcomed new navy help from the European Union and the United States as a lift to his nation’s defence capabilities.

“Rapid deliveries and also the production of ammunition is foreseen,” Zelensky stated in his every day video message on Monday night. “This is a strategic step,” he added.

He stated the EU was spending €2 billion ($2.14 billion) to provide Ukraine with 1 million new artillery shells over the subsequent twelve months to combat Russia.

The US, in flip, had put collectively a brand new $350 million defence package deal to purchase new weapons and ammunition, he stated.

“This strengthens the conviction that we are united, that the movement towards victory over the terrorist state cannot be stopped,” Zelensky added.

He stated EU members had proven that they had been genuinely excited about Europe being sturdy and free. Earlier, Zelensky had referred to as EU leaders to personally thank them for his or her help.
